Is this service confidential?
Yes, absolutely. Every aspect of the Trans Mentor Scheme is strictly confidential. Your personal details, identity, and anything discussed with your peer mentor are kept completely secure and managed safely by the Project 93 team in accordance with our rigorous data protection policies.
How much does it cost?
Like all of our core peer support and community services at Project 93, the Trans Mentor Scheme is completely free of charge. There are no hidden fees or costs at any point during your time with your mentor.
How often do mentors and mentees meet?
Typically, pairs meet once every fortnight for roughly an hour, but the schedule is designed to be completely flexible.
During your first initial catch-up, you and your assigned mentor will map out a flexed routine, environment, and frequency (whether online or face-to-face in Staffordshire) that fits comfortably around your daily life and commitments.
Who are the mentors?
Our mentors are dedicated trans and non-binary volunteers from across the local community who have lived experience navigating their own gender identity journeys. Every mentor undergoes training, enhanced background checks, and receives ongoing supervision from Project 93 to ensure they can offer safe, authentic, and high-quality guidance.
